Way to go, I've started the organization process as well.

That's a great idea! I might do a modified version of this plan Smile

Good plan to begin the process of de-cluttering and I hope you'll join us on the 'declutter' thread in Discussion heading on the 'Forum' side of Saving Advice. We're delighted to cheer your every step forward and offer suggestion to make it go faster.
All the research confirms that it is impossible to organize clutter. The first step is always to use boxes, bags or bins to remove items that are no longer serving your needs.

    1. You hate it. don't like it, don't keep it. Life is too short to hold onto things you loathe.
    2. You never fixed it. If something has been sitting in your home for a year without being fixed, you're never going to fix it. recycle or dispose the item.
    3. You forgot you owned it. When de-cluttering, if you find something you didn't even know you had, it's safe to assume you can live without it.
    4. You don't use it. Maybe you once used it, but now you don't anymore. If something doesn't serve you, have utility or bring you joy, it's time to get rid of it.
    5. You would be horrified for someone to find it or a relationship with someone could be damaged, best to get rid of it.
